Changing perceptions. There are no absolute rules that govern design, even less for re-designing. In place of norms, a variable mix of experience, sensitivity and intuition is more useful. To re-design is to revise a language while holding on to its system of sounds and meanings, while adapting them to a new context. Re-designing becomes necessary – especially for packaging – because of the influence perception has on things.
A perfect tool. For Just Italia we restyled a range of personal care lines. Some of the changes are barely noticeable, others are more visible. But all have been done in a perspective of innovation in tradition, a pursuit that sees design as the perfect tool to correct and improve the language of a brand.
